About the Role

 

The CRM Manager is a core player in EMF Media’s Retention & CRM team, owning the development, optimisation, and execution of email, SMS, and push marketing strategies across all lifecycle stages.

 

His role blends performance marketing with automation strategy and creative collaboration to drive customer acquisition, repeat purchases, maximisation of lifetime value (LTV), and reduction of churn. You’ll work cross-functionally with data analysts, creatives, performance teams, and lifecycle strategists to deliver highly personalised, high-impact campaigns at scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. CRM Strategy & Execution

 

Build, own, and evolve full-funnel CRM roadmaps for our e-commerce clients, ensuring lifecycle strategies are tailored to each brand’s growth stage, customer behaviours, and retention goals.

 

  • Manage the CRM content calendar in alignment with brand priorities and marketing campaigns. 

 

  • Lead the strategy and execution of automated lifecycle flows, ensuring each step is delivered by the right stakeholders (copy, design, dev) and aligned with performance goals. 

 

  • Oversee SMS and push notification strategies as complementary retention touchpoints. 

 

  • Align CRM and acquisition strategies to ensure journey continuity, while establishing and tracking performance KPIs across each client account. 

 

2. Customer Segmentation & Personalisation

 

Leverage data to deliver the right message to the right user at the right time.

 

  • Define advanced segmentation strategies based on user behaviour, purchase patterns, and lifecycle stage. 

 

  • Implement AI-powered tools for dynamic content, personalised recommendations, and conditional logic. 

 

  • Continuously refine segments based on performance feedback and predictive models. 

 

  • Build scalable personalisation frameworks for email, SMS, and push notifications. 

 

3. Performance Tracking & Optimisation

 

Let performance insights drive your next iteration.

 

  • Track and optimise CRM KPIS to ensure they consistently meet performance goals and contribute to client account growth. 

 

  • Run structured A/B tests on subject lines, design, timing, and messaging. 

 

  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards for ongoing optimisation. 

 

  • Leverage insights to refine CRM strategy, align internal teams, and deliver clear reporting and strategic updates to clients.

 

4. Automation & Tech Stack Management

 

Build a smart, scalable, and reliable CRM infrastructure.

 

  • Create and manage flows in platforms like Klaviyo. 

 

  • Ensure clean integrations between CRM, and analytics environments. 

 

  • Implement predictive send times, AI-driven product blocks, and custom event triggers. 

 

  • Maintain compliance, deliverability, and responsiveness across all devices and inboxes. 

 

5. Cross-Team Collaboration & Creative Briefing

 

Operate as the connector between content, strategy, and execution.

 

  • Collaborate with Copywriters and Designers to produce high-converting, brand-aligned content. 

 

  • Own the briefing process for CRM assets and campaign messaging. 

 

  • Sync with Performance Managers to align CRM goals with launch calendars and growth pushes. 

 

  • Support ecommerce and retention strategies with customer-first storytelling and dynamic loyalty messaging. 

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

 

  • 3–5 years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or retention strategy within a DTC or e-commerce environment. 

 

  • If from a brand-side background, the company must have generated between €1M and €50M in annual revenue, ideally with high growth velocity. 

 

  • Proven hands-on experience with platforms like Klaviyo or similar CRM tools. 

 

  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, automated lifecycle flows, and email/SMS strategy focused on performance. 

 

  • An analytical mindset with the ability to extract actionable insights from data and continuously improve results. 

 

  • Comfortable managing CRM campaigns end-to-end, from planning and execution to testing and reporting. 

 

  • Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills, especially with creative and performance marketing teams. 

 

Experience working with wellness, beauty, or lifestyle brands is a plus.
